Women Empowerment & Livelihoods
- DANE believes that empowering women is essential for building strong families and sustainable communities. Through our Women Empowerment and Livelihoods initiatives, we support rural and marginalized women in developing skills, confidence, and economic independence.
- Our programs focus on creating opportunities for women to improve their livelihoods through vocational training, small business support, self-help groups, tailoring, handicrafts, agriculture-based activities, and income-generating initiatives. We encourage women to become active participants in decision-making within their families and communities.
- Special attention is given to widows, single women, tribal women, and economically disadvantaged families who often face social and financial challenges. By providing training, mentoring, and community support, we help women build stable incomes and improve their quality of life.
- DANE also conducts awareness programs on women’s rights, health, education, financial literacy, and leadership development. These activities help women gain knowledge, confidence, and the ability to advocate for themselves and their children.
- Our goal is not only to create economic opportunities but also to promote dignity, equality, and long-term social change for women and girls in rural Tamil Nadu.
